After a poor showing at Wembley at the weekend, it appears that Man United manager, Erik ten Hag could again be on borrowed time at the club, with former Man City legend, Vincent Kompany, part of the puzzle to potentially replace the Dutchman.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri has suggested via X (formerly Twitter) that the Seagulls are already looking for a replacement for the Italian, with the club having had informal talks with Vincent Kompany’s representatives.

There’s clearly a lot still to be decided this season for all of the teams that could be involved in such a managerial merry-go-round, but the fact that such discussions are apparently taking place does hint at ten Hag’s Old Trafford future hanging in the balance.
After so many poor performances and a clear lack of nous in the transfer market, not to mention his incredibly awkward press conferences, there isn’t much that ten Hag can point to as being something he’s affected at the club in a positive way.
