Newcastle could raid bloated Chelsea squad, Arsenal & Man Utd stars also among transfer targets

Newcastle United could reportedly be set for a busy summer in the transfer market as they eye up players from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

The Magpies look in a good position to finish in the top four, and the lure of Champions League football could help them bring in some top talents who can take them to the next level after an impressive campaign under Eddie Howe.

According to the Telegraph, Leicester City playmaker James Maddison is one of Newcastle’s top targets, but they also have an interest in a number of players from this bloated Chelsea squad, including England midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Another midfielder on their radar is Man Utd ace Scott McTominay, while his Scotland international teammate, Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, is also said to be of interest, according to the report.

If Newcastle could land these proven Premier League players, it could be huge for them next season as they look to start challenging for major honours and becoming more of a force at home and in Europe.

The Telegraph note, however, that NUFC fear Chelsea won’t do business with them, and one imagines that might be an issue with the other clubs involved as they won’t be keen on strengthening this ever-improving and ever-more-threatening big six rival.
