Erik ten Hag admires 21-year-old goal machine who could be Harry Kane alternative for Man United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reportedly admires Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos, who could be an alternative to the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

The Red Devils will surely be in the market for a big name signing up front in the summer after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, with Ten Hag’s side a little overly reliant on Marcus Rashford for goals right now.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag likes 21-year-old Portuguese forward Ramos as a potential option, with the report noting that the likes of Kane and Osimhen could cost huge money.

Ramos has 18 goals in 27 games for Benfica in all competitions so far this season, and also impressed with a hat-trick for Portugal against Switzerland at the World Cup.

Goncalo Ramos to Manchester United?

Man Utd could surely do a lot worse than explore this signing, though Benfica don’t tend to make things easy for buying clubs, as we’ve seen with Enzo Fernandez in recent times.

Kane seems ideal in terms of being a proven Premier League goal-scorer, but it’s not easy getting Tottenham to sell to a rival, and Ramos has the bonus of being a lot younger than the England front-man, who turns 30 this summer.

  1. to be honest we better than last season but we still need a striker and also we need someone who can represent casmiro when he is absent and I want to encourage the player to step up their game and give their all

  2. Hmmm! yeah we all know that united has improving now than last season but the two games that was played agains crystal palace and gunners has reviewed united problems according to my vision.

  3. MU needs a stronger midfield and not one consisting of Bruno and Ericson. Please find better midfielders to complement Casemiro.Bruno in partcular ,is very wasteful in possession and the manager does not seem worried about that.Mr Ten Hag, please watch Arsenal play and observe the way the players pass the ball around. There are no stray balls as it happens with MU in every game. The other let down is Rashford, who wants to dribble when the easiest option is to pass the ball to an unmarked colleague. And what is worrying is, the manager does not correct these bad traits.

    1. Good points. Fernandes always tries the Hollywood pass when there is no need. I don’t think he should be captain as he chickens out of 50-50 challenges.

    2. You are very correct sir u see things same like I do. United can not maintain possession it’s the simple reason they give so many goal scoring chances to opposing teams. Against Arsenal with the game at 2-2 a possession based team will control the ball and limit chances for it’s opponents but united just can’t control a game.

    3. Yet rashford is your beat player by a mile in attack so u should talk about others not him his goals speaks for themself so he cant be a let down when he is winning almost every game for man u … maybe you should focus on ur other attackers son and ericksen plays very well side of casemeiro maybe u shud as bruno to assist more instead of just running around doing nothing pffttt

    4. Arsenal manager Arteta has been there for 3 years. Ten haag has been at United for 6 Months, yes 6 months. he knows exactly what he is doing. Let him be.

  4. I will be happy to see pogba casemero play together? Please ten hang bring pogba back because Fernandez is not

  5. Yeah Manu need strikers and I think they should go for Ramos, osimhen,Vitor rique and a right back following wan bissaka transfer new they need to spend the money in 6 days time💵💵💵💵

  6. If you speak about Bruno Fernandes being wasteful in whatever situation, then I am sorry you don’t appreciate good football. That guy is the spine of the team. Besides how many matches have we lost since he wore the arm band?

  7. Get Rice Eric will make him into the best midfield player of his type can also like the Butcher play center back ! If utd done another top club will !
