Todd Boehly fires dig at Arsenal after Leandro Trossard signing

Posted by

Chelsea co-owner and chairman Todd Boehly has fired a dig at rivals Arsenal after the club announced the signing of Leandro Trossard.

The Gunners acquired the Belgian, who has been in outstanding form this season, after failing in their pursuit of Mykhaylo Mudryk when Chelsea hijacked the deal and signed the 22-year-old last week.

The Premier League leaders refused to increase their offer for the Ukrainian, as the board have instilled a firm transfer policy in which they will not overpay to match other clubs’ bids.

Chelsea have been active on the market

On the other hand, Chelsea have made a statement in the transfer market by making several big-name signings to reinforce the squad after a dismal start to the campaign that has them sitting in 10th place and a whopping 10 points away from Newcastle United in fourth.

Boehly stands by his decisions, though, and is confident that their new addition trumps Mikel Arteta’s. On his verified Twitter account, he liked a tweet that reads: “Which one is good business? Retweet = Trossard, Like = Mudryk.”

  1. 460.000.000 spent in 2 transfer windows and still in 10th place.
Typical Chelski, trying to buy the title.
Doesn’t matter how many players they have, you can only play 11 at a time.
    Wait until ffp kicks in.

  2. Perhaps the biggest thing here is he didn’t want to play for Chelsea good business or otherwise. We will sign him in 2 years after further downward spiral and for half the money.

  3. Todd knows very well that Arsenal are far better at managing resources. Chelsea are wasteful, confused and panicky. I wish Todd understood that Money is not everything

  4. This Chelski guy is new to football and spends money like there is no tomorrow and thinks he is some spesialist. It will all backfire in due time.

  5. Chelsea doesn’t have any scouts that can spires the players that can fit their type of game that they play, they are only buying whenever Arsenal find someone who can fit their philosophy and then they step up to snatch

  6. Right now Chelsea don’t even have enough space to train all 500 first team players on their cards. 🙄🙄

  7. Hi I’m Paul just my view I think if he keeps spending like the way he’s doing at the moment2 to years the club will go into liquidation what ever club comes in for a big player he’s in straight away just shows they paid away over the top for mudryk the man is a bungalow he has no upstairs

    1. Loud mouth yank! More money than sense!
Will destroy Chelsea, money alone will not solve immediate problem, and too many new players will make it worse! I would laugh my face off if they get relegated😂😂😂

  8. Its bad I thought this man is grown he is only buying for comparison forgetting that trossard is already tested in the league

  9. Like there’s no corruption and bank handers behind this deal, I feel sorry for the lad Mudryk, they took his dream away and coerced him into signing.. as for Chelsea, you can throw all the money at buying players you want, since Abromovich left your just a regular mid table team like Spursy. 🤣🤣🤣

    1. Be realistic don’t be stupid to write what you don’t know when did Abromavach leave Chelsea it hasn’t reached a season fully the fact is this new Chelsea signing is too good you have to admit

  10. Yap we all know it’s his money, but why make comparisons between 1 and 10,he should learn to manage his own business wisely, remember no entry for UEFA🤣🤣🤣.

  11. Misuse of talents because of big money for comparisons, you may use your resources for big gain but at the end you end up losing, remember the former Tottenham guy ( Gareth bale to Madrid )

  12. The way Trossard likes scoring against chelsea! This debate may as well be settled early in the return leg..watch the space.

  13. Take it or leave it mudryk is better than trossard. The Brighton guy is just bloody overrated
    So why compare them

  14. Felix and mudryk helped chelsea to get 0 and 1 point in the last two matches. Trossard and co got 3 points in 1 match so far. Compare their price with their results
