The last thing that Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy will surely have needed right on top of a new football season was their warring wives’ ‘Wagatha Christie’ row to escalate.
However, according to The Sun, that’s exactly what’s happened as Rebekah Vardy has filed new papers in order to try and get Coleen Rooney into court as soon as possible.
It would appear that this particular move from Vardy is to force the issue after what she perceives to be Rooney dragging her heels on the matter.
According to The Sun, Vardy filed her original High Court claim back in June, and Rooney has yet to respond.
An interim hearing would therefore be a significant development in the saga.
The social media spat has overshadowed what their respective husbands have been doing on the pitch, and both players will surely be more than happy once this has been put to bed once and for all.
